Eddy Current Dampers
CDA’s eddy current dampers (ECDs) are built upon our gearmotor heritage and utilize the same materials and processes. They have been used in many space flight and aircraft applications where precise control over motion is required. They can be passive devices that require no additional input to function or active devices with variable damping rates. CDA also offers a cogless configuration for applications requiring minimal drag torques for additional margin at the end of deployment.

- Pre-outgassed for space flight upon request
- Operational temperature -269 °C to +260 °C
- Radiation resistant
